Four militants killed in security forces operation in Lakki Marwat

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces killed four militants and injured three others during a search and clearance operation in the Baitani mountain range of Lakki Marwat, officials said on Saturday.

The operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. Sources said the militants opened fire when security personnel approached their hideouts, prompting a retaliatory response that led to an exchange of fire.

Officials said that three major militant hideouts were destroyed during the operation. Gunship helicopters, artillery, and other available resources were used to dismantle the sanctuaries established in the Baitani hills.

Security officials said the operation aims to eliminate militant safe havens and disrupt networks operating in the region. They added that the action is expected to contribute to improved security conditions and provide relief to the local population.
