WASHINGTON — Former Deputy Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly and senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Qasim Khan Suri has disclosed that he is currently working as an Uber driver in the United States, citing financial difficulties after leaving Pakistan.
Speaking candidly in a recent statement, Suri said he chose to earn an honest living despite the hardships, adding that he takes pride in supporting himself through lawful means. He said that although he previously held senior constitutional positions, he never accumulated wealth or property during his political career.
Suri described his current life as challenging but dignified, saying he finds peace in earning honestly despite the emotional toll of being away from home. He added that while he sleeps with a clear conscience, he continues to feel pain over what he described as injustice in Pakistan’s political environment.
Reaffirming his loyalty to Imran Khan, Suri said he remains committed to the former prime minister’s political ideology and vision. He linked his departure from Pakistan to political difficulties faced by leaders associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Suri’s remarks have sparked debate on social media, drawing attention to the financial challenges faced by some politicians after leaving office and the broader political situation in Pakistan.
