Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) participated in the landmark launch of the “Youth for Humanity” Initiative, hosted by the Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, at Governor House, Lahore.
The delegation was led by FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I), alongside Dr. Sajida Naz, Focal Person for the Youth for Humanity Initiative, and Dr. Huma Ayub, Director of Student Affairs and Co-Focal Person.
A major milestone of the event was the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Fatima Jinnah Women University and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). This strategic partnership aims to deepen institutional synergy while promoting humanitarian service, active community engagement, youth empowerment, and social responsibility across the student body.
Highlighting the university’s focus on climate action, leadership from FJWU and PRCS also engaged in discussions to launch extensive forestation and green plantation drives at FJWU Campus-II. This collaborative green vision reflects the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and creating actionable avenues for youth involvement.
By actively championing the “Youth for Humanity” vision, Fatima Jinnah Women University reinforces its dedication to cultivating a generation of civic minded leaders rooted in volunteerism, social impact, and responsible citizenship.
