A convocation ceremony was held at the Timergara college of Nursing and Health Sciences, Odigram, Lower Dir, to mark the graduation of the first batch of 50 students. The event was attended by a large number of students, their parents, and guests. On this occasion, students presented national songs, anthems, poems, speeches, and Qawwali performances, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.Addressing the gathering, the Director of Timergara College of Nursing and Health Sciences and former Member of the Provincial Assembly, Muhammad Zamin Khan Advocate ,Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital Timergara, Asghar Ali, former principal Wazir Zada, Malik Nauman Yousafzai, and others highlighted the significance of nursing. They emphasized that nursing is the backbone of the healthcare sector, without which the field remains incomplete.They noted the severe shortage of nursing staff in the country, which causes challenges in providing adequate treatment to patients. They further stated that the nursing profession is about serving suffering humanity, and this service is considered a great act of worship.The speakers expressed hope that the graduates of Timergara College of Nursing and Health Sciences would serve patients in various hospitals across the country with a renewed spirit and bring pride to the nation.During the ceremony, degrees were awarded to the graduating students, while shields and certificates were distributed among the guests and college administration. The graduates appeared visibly happy on completing their education, and the joy of their parents was evident and heartwarming.
