Firdous Welfare foundation in the collaboration with Blessing Welfare and Development Organization (BWDO) has organized one Awareness session on the theme of 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISIM AGAINST Gender Based Violence.
It was held in district administration Conference hall.
Audienece were from different walks of life from students to doctors and politicians.Most of audience were women.
Legal Section was covered by Legal team of Blessing Welfare and Development organisation lawyers including : Adv Bassam Ahmad Siddiqui & Adv Tania Mustafa Social and Health area was covered by Qurat ul ain Ayaz CEO OF BWDO through the Action Advocacy an activity based learning.
CEO Firdous Welfare Foundation CEO Said what are the stigmas and stereotypes associated with women, what are there basic rights, what are challenges in achieving rights and what are the solutions. In legal side awareness was raised on different women protection ACTS, how to address violence, legal and mechanisms for protection.
BWDO offered MHPSS services and Legal services to the victims and survivors of GBV VAW as GBV has adverse effects ranging from health (physical and mental ) and fatal effects on the survivor.
