The controversy sparked widespread reactions on social media, with several members of the Shia community alleging that the comments were insensitive and hurt their religious sentiments.
The incident has also led to legal action. An FIR was filed against Safdar, while the YouTuber has issued a public apology, saying he never intended to offend anyone’s religious beliefs.

A video clip of Muaz Safdar’s remarks circulated widely across social media platforms, drawing criticism from many users who described the comments as inappropriate and disrespectful toward religious sentiments.

According to reports, Barrister Amir Khoso filed an FIR against Muaz Safdar, alleging that the YouTuber’s remarks hurt religious sentiments and requesting legal proceedings under the applicable laws.

Muaz Safdar Issues Apology
Responding to the controversy, Muaz Safdar released a video statement saying he had no intention of hurting anyone’s religious feelings.
“If my words have hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologize,” he said, expressing regret over the incident.
