PESHAWAR: Police have arrested an Afghan woman doctor in connection with the September 20 murder of an Afghan citizen in Chamkani, alleging that she lured the victim through a honey trap before arranging his killing.
According to police, the suspect is an MBBS doctor and allegedly confessed during interrogation that the victim had been involved in the murder of her father in 1999. Police said she allegedly planned the killing as revenge for her father’s death nearly 27 years ago.
The victim was allegedly called to the location through a honey trap, where he was subsequently killed. Police have registered a case against the arrested woman and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
Police said special teams have been formed to trace and arrest other suspects allegedly involved in the crime.
The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations against the arrested suspect will be subject to proceedings before the relevant court.
