PIND DADAN KHAN: Federal Minister for Railways and Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani visited DHQ Hospital Jhelum, where he reviewed the advanced medical facilities available at the hospital’s modern Cath Lab. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Jhelum, Shagufta Jabeen.
Hospital officials briefed the minister that complex cardiac procedures including angiography, angioplasty, Primary PCI, and temporary pacemaker installations are being performed regularly at the Cath Lab. These services, they noted, are now accessible to patients locally without the need to travel to major hospitals in Lahore or Rawalpindi.
Bilal Azhar Kayani inspected several wards during the visit and expressed satisfaction with the availability of state-of-the-art cardiac treatment facilities. He said the provision of these services ensures free and immediate care for patients from Jhelum and surrounding districts.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Shagufta Jabeen informed the minister that daily monitoring of hospital operations and medicine availability is being ensured. The minister appreciated the administration’s efforts and urged staff to continue working with dedication so that more people can benefit from the Cath Lab services.
