Islamabad, February 17 : Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Tuesday that former prime minister Imran Khan will receive his first medical injection in the coming days as part of his ongoing treatment, with a second dose scheduled one month later.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the minister said there has been important progress in Khan’s medical care and that the injections are expected to further improve his health condition.
Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the treatment will continue under the supervision of specialist doctors at leading hospitals in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He added that Khan’s family has been taken into confidence at every stage of the medical process.
The minister stated that the government will ensure there is no negligence, emphasizing that the health of all prisoners is the responsibility of the state and that inmates are treated equally under the law.
He urged that the matter not be politicized and cautioned against spreading what he described as unfounded speculation.
