TAXILA: In a bid to promote tax literacy and encourage voluntary compliance among youth, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) conducted a comprehensive Tax Awareness Session at HITEC University, Taxila. The initiative was part of FBR’s ongoing outreach activities led by the Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS), under the directives of Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member TPS Wing Tehmina Aamer.
The session focused on guiding students and faculty through the process of filing income tax returns for Tax Year 2025. The FBR team, headed by Secretary Compliance Kiran Zahra and supported by other TPS officials, engaged participants with detailed insights into the functions and initiatives of the revenue authority.
Hosted by HITEC University President Usman Shaukat and organized under the supervision of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Kamran Afaq, the event drew a large and attentive audience. Audit Officer Abdul Rehman delivered a step-by-step presentation on the online tax filing process, addressing common challenges and misconceptions faced by new taxpayers.
Students and faculty actively participated in the session, posing thoughtful questions on various aspects of taxation. The FBR team responded with clarity and depth, reinforcing the importance of informed compliance and civic responsibility.
