FBR Holds Tax Awareness Session for Faisalabad Business Community

FAISALABAD, June 22, 2026: The Federal Board of Revenue held a tax awareness session at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to brief the business community on tax compliance, digital reforms and taxpayer facilitation measures.

The session was conducted by the FBR Taxpayers’ Services Wing as part of its outreach campaign, on the instructions of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and under the supervision of Member TPS Tehmina Aamer, according to a press release.

The FBR delegation included Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz, Secretary Tax Education and Facilitation, and Abdul Rehman, Second Secretary Tax Facilitation. FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, Senior Vice President Naveed Akram Sheikh, Vice President Engr. Asim Munir and other chamber members attended the session.

Addressing the participants, Mumtaz discussed FBR’s role in national revenue mobilization and highlighted reforms aimed at improving transparency and facilitating taxpayers.

He briefed the business community on several initiatives, including POS Integration, the Track and Trace System, Digital Invoicing, Faceless Customs Assessment, Cargo Tracking, Direct Port Delivery, the Reward and Rating System, and Video Analytics for production monitoring.

Abdul Rehman gave a detailed presentation on income tax return filing and compliance procedures. Participants raised questions about digital invoicing and the POS prize scheme, which were answered by the FBR team.

The business community appreciated the outreach effort and the opportunity to discuss tax-related issues directly with FBR officials.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment and an exchange of souvenirs.
