Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) held a tax awareness outreach session at the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Islamabad as part of its ongoing efforts to engage the business community on tax-related matters.
The session was conducted by the Taxpayers’ Services (TPS) Wing on the instructions of Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial, under the supervision of Member TPS Wing Tehmima Aamir.
FBR officials brief participants on tax system and online filing
The delegation was led by Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz, Secretary Tax Education and Facilitation, and included Abdul Rehman Sheikh, Second Secretary Tax Facilitation, along with other officials of the TPS Wing.
In his remarks, Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz provided an overview of FBR’s mandate, functions, and ongoing reform measures. This was followed by a presentation by Abdul Rehman Sheikh on tax awareness and the procedure for online filing of income tax returns.
FPCCI representatives, business members attend session
FPCCI was represented by Tariq Jadoon, Vice President FPCCI, Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman/Incharge FPCCI Capital Office, and other executive members. Business community members from different cities also participated through video link.
During the session, participants raised various tax-related questions, which were addressed by the FBR officials present.
The session concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between representatives of Federal Board of Revenue and FPCCI.
