Rawalpindi – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) held a tax awareness session at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to guide business leaders on filing income tax returns online for Tax Year 2025. The session was part of FBR’s broader outreach initiative aimed at strengthening taxpayer facilitation and encouraging voluntary compliance.
Organized under the direction of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS) Tehmina Aamer, the session brought together officials from FBR’s TPS Wing, including Secretary Compliance Kiran Zahra and Audit Officer Abdul Rehman.
President RCCI Usman Shaukat chaired the session, with Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi coordinating the event. The tax awareness session drew participation from senior office-bearers, trade representatives, and members of the local business community.
During the session, Ms. Zahra provided an overview of FBR’s structure and its role in facilitating taxpayers. Mr. Rehman followed with a step-by-step presentation on how to file income tax returns online, addressing technical queries and compliance concerns raised by participants.
The interactive format allowed attendees to engage directly with FBR officials, gaining clarity on procedures and policy updates. RCCI President Usman Shaukat praised the initiative, noting its importance in building trust and transparency between the business sector and tax authorities.
The tax awareness session concluded with a ceremonial exchange of souvenirs between FBR and RCCI representatives, symbolizing continued collaboration in promoting financial literacy and responsible tax practices.
