In a pointy critique of new legislative adjustments, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated Pakistan’s 26th Constitutional Amendment has introduced laws that make citizens sense like “suspects in their own us of a.” Fazlur Rehman’s feedback came in Peshawar, where he supplied condolences at the death of distinguished political figure Ilyas Bilour. “The humans of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are enduring severe hardships,” he advised reporters, alleging that the provincial authorities has located politics above public welfare. “Their whole consciousness is on politics rather than on retaining peace, which is inaccurate,” he added. The JUI-F leader criticised the removal of Article eight during the twenty sixth Amendment, which he claims has opened the door for laws that infringe upon simple rights. “Following this modification, regulation has been rushed that violates human rights,” he said. According to Rehman, those laws allow authorities to detain every body for up to 90 days without due system. “Such measures have created a climate in which people sense like suspects within their personal borders,” Fazlur Rehman remarked, voicing issues over the impact on civil liberties.
