DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his only complaint is that the Presidential Palace occupied by Asif Ali Zardari has no ulama to register for seminars.
He said there was no disagreement with the scientists, and only the party’s complaints were with the president.
Why did Zardari protest against the bill approved by the government? Speaking to media persons at Dera Ismail Khan, Fazr said that now there is a political controversy over seminary registration.
“The government is drafting a bill to register religious seminaries and the JUI-F is demanding approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment before elections under the Shehbaz Sharif government.
He asked why the signing of the bill was delayed after the constitutional amendment and whether there was a need for President Asif Ali Zardari to amend the draft with the participation of PPP and PML-N. He also asked why government agencies were not involved in this process.
Addressing the clerics, he said that there was no problem with the seminary, the organization or the clerics. “JUI-F application only at the President’s Building.”
Party leaders wondered why the signing of the law was stopped when the constitutional amendment was signed.
He said JUI-F did not commit any mistake and the responsibility lies only in the House.
