KARACHI, July 8, 2026: Police have arrested a man in Karachi’s Baldia Town after he allegedly confessed to killing his 17-year-old son following severe torture at their home in Gulshan-e-Ghazi.
According to police, the teenager had been missing from home for six to seven days and the family had been searching for him. When he returned home, his father allegedly tied him to a charpoy and beat him with sticks and other objects.
Police said the suspect claimed his son had become addicted to drugs and was involved in illegal activities. Officials said the alleged confession was recorded after the victim’s body, bearing torture marks, was recovered from the house.
Authorities said the incident took place on Tuesday evening, after which an attempt was allegedly made to bury the teenager quietly. Police reached the location after receiving information, took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The victim was the eldest of four brothers. Police said the arrested suspect, a rickshaw driver originally from Swabi, has been booked in a murder case.
