ABU DHABI: Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman has been signed by United Tigers as the franchise’s icon player for the 2026 Abu Dhabi T10 League.
The newly formed franchise confirmed Zaman’s signing through a social media announcement, adding the experienced Pakistan batter to its squad for the upcoming tournament.
Zaman has represented Pakistan in three Tests, 92 ODIs and 120 T20 internationals. He has also played in several franchise-based T20 leagues around the world, bringing extensive experience in short-format cricket.
The 2026 edition will be the first Abu Dhabi T10 League tournament following significant administrative and structural changes. Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub acquired a majority stake in the competition, with support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Emirates Cricket Board.
The league also introduced a new franchise ownership process this year, resulting in the arrival of new teams, including United Tigers.
The 2026 Abu Dhabi T10 League is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 20, with eight teams set to compete in the tournament.
