Swabi: The era of basic education has ended. Today’s skilled students need modern education, technical skills, and expertise in IT fields to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.
These views were expressed during a mentoring session organized by the People’s Action Group for Education, Swabi, at the Government Higher Secondary School Topi. The session, titled “Empowering Future,” aimed to guide students, nurture their potential, and pave the way for a brighter future.
Education experts, including Obaid Zaman, Principal Technical College Gadoon, Muhammad Tahir, Principal Sina Institute of Medical Sciences, Abdul Salam, IT expert Abdul Saboor, Professor Government Degree College Dr. Noor-ul-Haq, Incharge Principal Government Higher Secondary School Topi Syed Arab Khan, and General Secretary People’s Action Group for Education Amjad Ali, addressed the students.
They emphasized the importance of acquiring technical skills and knowledge to secure a successful future. They also discussed the vast opportunities available in the medical field and guided students on how to build a career in this sector.
The speakers highlighted the rapid growth of information technology and encouraged students to develop expertise in this field to benefit from global opportunities.
The role of educational institutions and madrasas was also discussed. The speakers reminded students that knowledge is a beacon that not only ensures individual progress but also guarantees national development.
