Ehsaas Tree Plantation Campaign launched in Mardan to promote green environment

MARDAN: Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rehman has launched the “Ehsaas Tree Plantation Campaign” to promote environmental protection and address climate challenges in the district.

The campaign was formally inaugurated with plantation drives at the University of Mardan, the Commissioner Mardan Division House and the Deputy Commissioner House, where saplings were planted as part of the initiative.

Focus on environment and climate

Speaking at the launch, the deputy commissioner said tree plantation is essential to tackle climate change and environmental pollution, adding that trees play a vital role in improving air quality and building a healthier society.

He said the campaign is being implemented in line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s vision to promote a greener and safer environment for future generations.

Public participation encouraged

Wasif Rehman urged government institutions and the general public to actively participate in the campaign and ensure proper care of planted saplings to achieve long-term results.
