ISLAMABAD: easypaisa, Pakistan’s first digital bank, has partnered with 5th Pillar Family Takaful to launch a Shariah-compliant Umrah Savings Plan aimed at helping customers financially prepare for their religious journey through structured savings and protection.
The newly launched plan combines goal-based savings with Takaful protection, allowing customers to build funds for Umrah through a disciplined financial approach.
Through an integrated partnership with 5th Pillar Travel (Private) Limited, customers will also receive travel facilitation services upon maturity, including visa processing, flights, accommodation and Ziarat arrangements.
The service is designed for customers aged 18 to 60 years and offers flexible contribution options, including annual, half-yearly, quarterly and monthly payments.
Digital Savings Solution for Umrah Planning
The Umrah Savings Plan provides customers with a structured way to save over a period starting from five years, with maturity proceeds available either as cash or for use towards a complete Umrah package.
The initiative brings together digital banking, Shariah-compliant savings and travel services under one platform, offering customers a more convenient way to plan their Umrah expenses.
Speaking about the partnership, easypaisa Digital Bank President and CEO Jahanzeb Khan said the initiative reflects the company’s focus on developing financial solutions aligned with customers’ values and everyday needs.
He said the collaboration combines Shariah-compliant savings, protection and Umrah facilitation through a single digital offering.

He said the partnership with easypaisa would help expand access to the service while combining savings, protection and travel facilitation within one ecosystem.
The launch further expands easypaisa’s Islamic finance and Takaful offerings as the company continues to introduce digital financial products for Pakistani consumers.
With more than 60 million registered users, easypaisa said it remains focused on expanding access to financial services and supporting Pakistan’s digital banking ecosystem.
