Dr. Shah Saud Successfully Defends PhD Dissertation at University of Agriculture Peshawar

Peshawar: Dr. Shah Saud, a PhD scholar from the Department of Agricultural Education Extension and Communication at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, has successfully completed his doctoral studies in Agricultural Extension. His research was supervised by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah Khan Marwat, Dean of the Faculty of Rural Social Sciences.

Dissertation Focus on Agricultural Extension in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The dissertation, titled “An Assessment of Professional and Technical Capabilities of Subject Matter Specialists and Agriculture Officers Working in Agriculture Extension Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Pakistan,” examined the skills and effectiveness of extension officers in the province. The work received endorsement from scientists in the United States, China, and Pakistan.

Defense Seminar and Scholarly Engagement

During the defense seminar, Dr. Shah Saud responded to questions from participants and successfully defended his research findings. The session highlighted the relevance of his study to the improvement of agricultural extension services.

The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Emeritus Dr. Jehan Bakht, Secretary Arshad Khan, Chairman of the Department of AEE&C Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Director IDS Prof. Dr. Malak Inayatullah Jan, Additional DASAR Dr. Malak Muhammad Shafi, Dr. Urooba Pervaz, faculty members, guests, and scholars.

Attendees congratulated both the supervisor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah Khan Marwat, and the scholar, Dr. Shah Saud, on the successful defense. They expressed confidence that the research will contribute to advancing the field of Agricultural Extension in Pakistan.
