A PhD scholar of the Department of Human Nutrition, The University of Agriculture Peshawar Dr. Muhammad Hussain completed his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Naimat Ullah in HumanNutrition.
He presented his dissertation titled : “Iodine Bio Fotifacation of Wheat and It’s Bioavailability in Normal Individual”.
His these has evaluated by renowned professors from
Turkey and Sweden.
Objectives of his research are:
- To biofortify wheat with iodine through seed priming, soil application and foliar spray separately and in combination.
- To determine the iodine concentration in biofortified wheat flour in relation to different techniques.
- To determine the iodine bioavailability of the biofortified wheat flour.
During the seminar, Dr. Hussain defended his research by answering the questions raised by the professors, scholars and students qualified his Ph.D degree successfully.
