Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, has said that no formal negotiations are being held with the government for the release of Imran Khan. The PTI stood with the Pakistan Army, the nation and the government against Indian aggression. After this great success, the government should not show political arrogance. There are frivolous cases against Imran Khan. He is being abused. His morale cannot be broken by keeping him in jail. The popularity of the PTI is increasing due to the government’s decisions. The rulers should release Imran Khan and compete in the political arena. The government has no legal constitutional status of its own. It is occupying power fraudulently. It does not even have any decision-making authority. Some people are trying to resolve this issue. Political instability in the country poses threats to national security along with economic problems.

He expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized by Hajra Hamza Foundation on World Thalassemia Day at the Abbottabad Press Club and earlier at the Jalal Baba Auditorium. In the Thalassemia seminar, Major General (retd) Abid Latif Khan highlighted the role and initiatives of the foundation. And in the Meet the Press, President Abbottabad Press Club Sardar Naveed Alam, General Secretary Raja Munir Khan, President Abbottabad Union of Journalists Atif Qayyum, in their speeches, demanded the provision of funds for the media colony to journalists, accreditation cards of journalists, problems faced in medical funds and inclusion of journalists from Abbottabad in information tours and training workshops. Advisor on Information and Public Relations Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif said that the government’s tactics are a sign of their fear. Imran Khan is not ready for negotiations for personal gain, he will be ready to accept any conditions for Pakistan.

After the protest movement of the Tehreek-e-Insaf, Islamabad was turned into a city of containers. They have been defeated. They targeted unarmed workers. Instead of competing in the political arena, the government opened fire on unarmed workers. Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif said that journalists are being tortured in Punjab. They are not allowed to ask questions. Imran Khan announced the next course of action for the protest. The differences among the party leaders are not in favor of bringing it to the media. A committee was formed on the complaint of Azam Swati and the matter was resolved. He further said that the Chief Minister has been spoken to for the media colony so that it can be resolved in the financial year. Earlier, the provincial government had given a media colony but unfortunately, the journalists could not get it due to the case.

He expressed his determination that the provincial government will make every effort. He has assured to solve the problems faced by the journalists. Earlier, President Abbottabad Press Club Sardar Naveed Alam demanded the steps taken regarding the media colony and the provision of more special funds for it. And the PC-1 file of the media colony was also presented to the provincial advisor. Meanwhile, the Press Club and the Union of Journalists presented a commemorative shield to the special guest Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif and officers of the Information Department.
