Under the chairmanship of DPO Jhelum Tariq Aziz Sandhu, a meeting was held at the DPO Office Jhelum regarding the security arrangements for Muharram processions and gatherings. SDPOs of the district and in-charge officers of various police branches participated in the meeting via video link.
During the meeting, the DPO Jhelum issued directives concerning the arrangements for the month of Muharram. He instructed that foolproof security arrangements be ensured throughout the district during Muharram. Participants in processions and gatherings will be allowed entry only after proper checking. Sweeping and searching operations are to be conducted before the start of any procession. Strict adherence to the code of conduct must be ensured at all costs.
