NEW DELHI: India’s kabaddi team has been stripped of its silver medal after a team member reportedly tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance.
According to Indian media reports, action was taken after Indian kabaddi player Brijendra Singh Chaudhary returned a positive doping test.
The player underwent a doping test on April 27 during the Sanya Asian Beach Games. Following the positive result, the silver medal won by the Indian kabaddi team was withdrawn.
