District Police Officer Abbottabad Omar Tufail (PSP) Peace Committee to ensure peace and order during Muharram. An important meeting with the Abbottabad District Abbottabad, attended by the elders of Abbottabad Havelian, Lora In order to maintain peace and order throughout the district and promote interfaith harmony during the holy days of Muharram , the District Police Officer (DPO Abbottabad, Omar Tufail (PSP) today held an important consultative meeting with the members of the Peace Committee Abbottabad at the DPO office.
The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Peace Committee, including respected citizens of the district, eminent scholars belonging to different faiths, representatives of business organizations, senior journalists of print and electronic media, members of civil society and representatives of other reputable sectors of life.
The DPO Abbottabad gave a detailed briefing to all the participants regarding the security arrangements during Muharram , and said that the Abbottabad Police, with the cooperation of the public, will ensure peace and order throughout the district and promote interfaith harmony. and will ensure peace at all costs. He stressed the need to maintain religious harmony, mutual tolerance and communal harmony. The Ulema and community representatives participating in the meeting also assured their full cooperation and said that they would spread the message of peace in their respective constituencies and would fully cooperate with the law enforcement agencies against any elements spreading chaos. DPO Abbottabad further said that during Muharram, the police are making control rooms, CCTV, drones, deployment of plainclothes personnel and special patrolling system effective so that the mourning processions and gatherings can be held in a peaceful environment. Abbottabad Police should work with all schools of thought and classes to maintain peace and order during Muharram.
