District Food Controller Intensifies Action Against Overcharging and Hoarding

Kohat: Gulab Gul, District Food Controller of Food Department, Kohat, has intensified the ongoing campaign against overselling. Talking to the media, Gulab Gul said that food department teams are monitoring poultry vendors, butchers, bakers and other food vendors across the district to ensure implementation of the official price list on a daily basis. He said that hoarding, illegal profiteering and buying and selling of substandard items will not be tolerated in any case, and strict legal action is being taken against those involved. Action is also being taken against the shopkeepers who are guilty of not displaying the price list in a clear place, selling low weight bread and high selling. The District Food Controller has strictly instructed the vendors to ensure full implementation of the official price list. He clarified that high selling and hoarding will not be tolerated in any case, and the interests of the people will be protected in every possible way.
