The Ignite National Technology Fund has reopened registration for the second batch of its DigiSkills 3.0 program, offering 300,000 free seats to learners across Pakistan on a first-come, first-served basis.
Program officials have urged prospective trainees to register as early as possible, noting that no additional slots will be made available once the limit is reached. The enrolment process has been kept simple — participants only need to create an account on the DigiSkills website and select up to two courses from the 16 options currently on offer.
Returning learners can access DigiSkills 3.0 through LMS
Those who have already registered under the DigiSkills initiative can directly log in to their Learning Management System (LMS) accounts and choose their desired courses for Batch-02, scheduled to begin in December 2025. The management further clarified that, due to the high demand observed in previous batches, registration will close automatically once the seat quota is filled, even if it happens before the announced deadline.
Upgraded DigiSkills 3.0 program approved with Rs. 1.79 billion budget
The DigiSkills 3.0 program, approved by the Ignite board in April 2025, represents an upgraded phase of Pakistan’s largest digital training initiative. Backed by a budget of approximately Rs. 1.79 billion, the program aims to train three million Pakistanis over the next three and a half years, expanding the country’s digital workforce and freelancing capabilities.
Expanded course portfolio for future-ready skills
Building on the success of DigiSkills 2.0, which offered 15 online courses, the new phase introduces 25 free courses covering a broader range of emerging digital fields. Among the newly launched subjects are UI/UX and Web Flow, Cloud Computing, 3D Modeling, Shopify Development and Drop Shipping, Artificial Intelligence with Python, Full Stack Development with MERN, and Mobile Game and App Development. The program has also introduced courses in Startup Strategies and Entrepreneurship to encourage innovation and business creation among young professionals.
DigiSkills initiative empowers millions nationwide
Since its inception in 2018, the DigiSkills initiative — developed in collaboration with Ignite and the Virtual University of Pakistan — has trained more than four million learners from over 300 cities nationwide. The platform has become a cornerstone of Pakistan’s digital education landscape, empowering thousands to pursue online careers and freelancing opportunities.
Women’s participation strengthens Pakistan’s digital future
A notable achievement of the program has been its impact on women’s participation in the digital economy. More than 800,000 women have completed DigiSkills training, contributing significantly to closing the gender gap in Pakistan’s technology and freelancing sectors.
DigiSkills 3.0 continues mission to build a digital Pakistan
With the launch of its latest batch, DigiSkills 3.0 continues to serve as a vital step toward building a digitally skilled, inclusive, and future-ready Pakistan.
