The apex committee meeting was held on Tuesday in which the nation observed two deferent reactions, the first one was against militancy in the country while the other was a political. First we will narrate the response to militancy in the country and especially in Balochistan, then will discuss political point scoring exchange between two chief ministers.
Now a days the country is under the terrorist attacks yesterday according to the ISPR, says six terrorists killed as they attempted to attack joint check post in Bannu Mali Khel 12 security personnel were martyred in a suicide blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) District Bannu.
The military’s media wing, in a statement, said that terrorists or “khawarij” attempted to attack a joint check post in the general area of Mali Khel in Bannu on November 19.
“In fire exchange, six terrorists were sent to hell,” the statement read, adding that the attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by the troops, which forced the attackers to ram an explosive-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall of the post.
Explaining the attack further, the military’s media wing said that the suicide blast led to the collapse of a portion of the perimeter wall and damaged the adjoining infrastructure.
This, the ISPR said, resulted in the martyrdom of 12 brave sons of soil that included ten soldiers of the security forces and two soldiers of Frontier Constabulary.
Sanitization operation is being conducted in the area and the perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice, the statement mentioned. “Security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve.” That is why the state decides to counter the terrorism in both provinces Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The apex committee was held under the chairmanship of prime minster main Shehbaz sharif which Okays military operation in Balochistan. The committee approved a comprehensive military operation against terrorist organizations operating in Balochistan, including the Majeed Brigade, BLA, BLF and BRAS, which are targeting innocent civilians and foreign nationals to scuttle Pakistan’s economic progress by creating insecurity at the behest of hostile external powers,” said a statement issued by the PM Office after the meeting. The observers discussed that initative will help Pakistan to end those terrorists (khawarij) for the region. Another hand Apex committee take keen interest in the sociopolitical situation of the country.
According to daily the news story interesting exchange of words between CM, Punjab Maryam nawaz and CM, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur was also come to lime light. According to the reports, an important member of the Central Apex Committee, which met here on Tuesday, advised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to avoid bringing protest rallies from the KP to Punjab because such political moves could dent the inter-provincial harmony.
Gandapur was told that the PTI should politically mobilize its supporters in Punjab instead of bringing protesters from the KP. An informed source said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz initially raised the issue how the KP chief minister repeatedly leads protest rallies from Peshawar to Islamabad like an assault. She pointed out that such protests also result in damage to life and property.
In response to Maryam’s criticism, Gandapur reportedly talked about the hardships faced by the PTI, particularly in Punjab. Gandapur also talked about Imran Khan and said that the PTI founder chairman has been behind bars for over a year without any crime. “Our leader is in jail, our workers are being persecuted,” he complained.
The source, who was also one of the participants in the apex committee meeting, said that Maryam was a bit harsh but Gandapur, contrary to his perception in public, responded calmly. There was, however, no further exchange of arguments between the two chief ministers. So it seems good that for the first time CM, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa replied softly to an active CM, Punjab, therefor if both sides could maintain such gesture it can melt the ice between the two provinces in that burning political scenario of the country.
