KARACHI: Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan (DIB Pakistan) has launched a major core banking transformation programme by partnering with Systems Limited to migrate its existing banking infrastructure to Temenos’ cloud-native core banking platform.
Under the agreement announced on July 28, 2026, Systems Limited will lead the implementation of the new Core Banking System (CBS) as a certified Temenos partner, supporting DIB Pakistan’s transition from Oracle Flexcube to a next-generation digital banking platform.
The initiative marks a significant milestone in DIB Pakistan’s digital transformation strategy, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer experience, and strengthening the bank’s ability to deliver innovative financial services.
DIB Pakistan to Accelerate Digital Banking Transformation
DIB Pakistan said the adoption of Temenos’ cloud-native technology will help modernise its banking operations, streamline processes, and provide faster, more convenient solutions to customers.
Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, CEO of DIB Pakistan, said the partnership represents the first major step toward leveraging advanced technology to deliver improved banking experiences.
He added that the bank aims to deploy cutting-edge solutions that enable convenient, efficient, and customer-focused financial services.
Systems Limited to Lead Temenos Implementation
Systems Limited will serve as the execution partner for the transformation project, bringing its banking technology expertise, implementation capabilities, and proprietary accelerators, including its Country Model Bank, to support the deployment.

DIB Pakistan Chief Operating Officer Syed Farhan Ahmed said the transformation of the core banking platform would provide the operational foundation needed to scale services, improve customer experiences, and strengthen business resilience.
The bank’s Chief Information Officer, Imran Ali Khan Soomro, said Temenos’ global banking technology capabilities would help accelerate DIB Pakistan’s digital and artificial intelligence ambitions.
The new core banking environment is expected to provide an API-first architecture, allowing greater flexibility, faster product development, improved security, and enhanced operational stability.
