DC Tank says public complaints will be addressed without delay

TANK: Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan has said that resolving public issues is the responsibility of government officials and that mistreatment or exploitation of citizens will not be tolerated.

He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the District Press Club Tank, led by its president Syed Badshah Kundi. The meeting focused on public service delivery, media cooperation and the administration’s role in addressing citizens’ complaints.

Jamshed Khan said government officials are paid to serve the public and must perform their duties with dedication and responsibility.

He said resolving basic public issues at people’s doorsteps was among the administration’s top priorities. He added that constructive criticism from journalists would be welcomed as part of efforts to improve governance.

The deputy commissioner said the district administration would take immediate notice of issues highlighted by the media and use all available resources to resolve public problems.

He also warned that negligence in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated and said practical steps were being taken to provide relief to citizens.

The visiting delegation appreciated the deputy commissioner’s approach and said cooperation between the media and district administration was important for resolving public issues effectively.
