GUJAR KHAN – Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema visited Gujar Khan on an official tour where he reviewed ongoing development projects, inspected health facilities, and assessed security arrangements across key public locations.

The visit, accompanied by City Police Officer Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani and other senior district officials, included stops at the Municipal Shopping Center, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, and Central Imambargah. Officials from municipal and police departments also joined the inspection.

At the Municipal Shopping Center, the Deputy Commissioner inspected construction progress and expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of work. He directed authorities to ensure timely completion of the project for public benefit.

Health facility inspection

During his visit to the THQ Hospital Gujar Khan, Dr. Cheema reviewed multiple departments and interacted with patients and attendants. He sought details on medical services, staff performance, and availability of medicines, instructing hospital management to improve service delivery and ensure better healthcare facilities.

Security arrangements assessed

The DC and CPO also visited Central Imambargah, where they were briefed on security measures by local police officials. After reviewing the arrangements, they expressed satisfaction but directed law enforcement to maintain heightened vigilance.

Officials said the visit was aimed at improving coordination between departments and ensuring better public services in the region.
