MARDAN: Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir held an Khuli katcheri at Tehsil Headquarters Takhtbhai to ensure immediate resolution of public grievances. Besides Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Syed Fahad Iftikhar, ADC (General) Saeedullah Jan and Regional Director Information Department Mardan Shams ul Haq the Khuli katcheri was also attended by SP Saddar Division Fayaz Khan, Assistant Commissioner Takhtbhai Junaid Khalid along with Additional Assistant Commissioners Abdul Ghaffar Gandapur,Bin Yamin Khan, Tehsildar Tariq Khan, DSP Takhtbhai Shakeel Khan and DSP Saddar Circle Noor Daraz Khan and officers and representatives of all departments. The objective of the open katcheri was to directly examine public grievances and provide prompt redressal. The people of the area participated in large number in and complained about various issues including water scarcity, drainage problems, encroachment in Takhtbhai and Loond khwor, unruly traffic, education, health, sports facilities and other social services. The Deputy Commissioner listened to these problems very patiently and issued orders to solve several problems on the spot. DC Dr. Azmatullah Wazir said that the provincial government believes in the immediate solution of people’s problems and organizing khuli katchris is a part of this chain. Assistant Commissioner Junaid Khalid also assured the people that the district administration is always trying to solve public problems and all possible facilities will be provided. He appealed to the public to make full use of such forums and raise their issues before the administration without hesitation.During the khuli katcheri the residents appreciated the efforts of the district administration and hoped that their problems would be resolved as soon as possible. He said that a comprehensive plan is being prepared to improve the poor traffic situation in the area, in which the restructuring of the traffic system and the elimination of encroachments are being given special importance. Vigorous operation will be conducted against encroachments to provide convenience to the people. He added that strict measures will be taken to crack down on land mafia and drug peddlers, and no illegal occupation will be allowed. In this regard, all relevant institutions have been mobilized. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Azmatullah Wazir also visited Tehsil Press Club Takhtbhai and congratulated the newly elected President Muslim Khan Sabir and other office bearers on their unopposed election. He said that the importance of media is unquestionable and the district administration will give priority to solving the problems of journalists. He also visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Ganjai and reviewed the facilities provided to the public there. He directed the hospital administration to ensure the attendance of doctors and other related staff. The Deputy Commissioner also visited Tehsil Bar Room and discussed the problems of lawyers community with the Bar officials and assured full cooperation on the part of the district administration.
