Lahore Qalandars all-rounder David Wiese will not feature in the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League, citing family commitments as the reason for his absence.

In a message shared with fans, Wiese said he was “gutted” to be missing out on the tournament this year, adding that he would miss being part of the Lahore Qalandars squad. He said he would continue to support the team from home during the season.

“This isn’t a permanent goodbye to the PSL,” Wiese said, expressing confidence that he would return to the league in the future.

Wiese has been one of Lahore Qalandars’ most influential overseas players in recent seasons, playing a key role in the franchise’s title-winning campaigns with his all-round performances. His absence will be a notable setback for the defending champions as they prepare for the new season.

Lahore Qalandars have not yet announced a replacement for the Namibian all-rounder.
