Islamabad — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), at the Pakistan Embassy on Monday, where the two sides reviewed socio‑economic cooperation and lauded CIDCA’s contributions to Pakistan’s development.
During the meeting, both officials reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration in education, space, livelihoods, information technology, and disaster relief. They also discussed flagship initiatives planned to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan–China diplomatic relations.
The engagement followed the 7th Round of Pak‑China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, held in Beijing a day earlier. Co‑chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Ishaq Dar, the dialogue underscored the importance of Pakistan–China friendship for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Both sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exchanged views on key regional and global issues, reiterating their resolve to enhance coordination at bilateral and multilateral fora.
