D.I. Khan Police Arrest Youth During Independence Day

D.I. KHAN: Police in Dera Ismail Khan arrested a young man who allegedly dressed in a white burqa and engaged in inappropriate behaviour during Independence Day celebrations.

According to police, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of City Police Station in D.I. Khan on the night of Independence Day. The suspect allegedly wore the traditional white burqa associated with the area to create the appearance of a woman and was accused of engaging in inappropriate acts during the celebrations.

Police said they took immediate action after receiving a complaint and arrested the suspect.

Authorities said further legal proceedings have been initiated against him under the applicable law.

Police also described the alleged conduct as disrespectful to local traditions associated with the white burqa, while the exact legal provisions invoked against the suspect were not specified in the report.
