A customer was arrested in Lahore after allegedly injuring a shopkeeper during a dispute over the price of a mobile phone pouch at Hall Road, police said on Monday.
According to police, the incident began with a verbal argument between the customer and the shopkeeper after the price of the product was quoted. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical altercation.
Authorities said the suspect allegedly bit the shopkeeper’s ear during the confrontation, causing serious injuries. The injured shopkeeper was provided medical assistance following the incident.
Police register case
Police from Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station responded to the incident and arrested the suspect, identified as Moazzam.
A criminal case has been registered, and the matter has been handed over to the investigation wing for further inquiry.
Officials said legal action is being taken in accordance with the law and that investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
Chaudhry Asar Ali said a detailed investigation is in progress and that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
