Dhudial: Cuban Ambassador H.E. Zener J. Caro Gonzalez visited Begum Noor Memorial Hospital Bhubhar (Chakwal). This visit held significant importance in terms of providing quality healthcare facilities in rural areas of Pakistan. The honorable ambassador conducted a detailed review of all hospital departments, including operation theaters, the dialysis center, and the educational sector (including the college).

He expressed his profound appreciation for the establishment of such a high-standard hospital in a rural area with state-of-the-art facilities. The 24-machine dialysis center and the surgery department particularly caught his attention.

During the visit, important discussions were held to further strengthen Pakistan-Cuba cooperation. Key topics included bringing Cuban specialist doctors and nurses to Pakistan to provide surgeries, treatments, and staff training; forming an exchange program for doctors and nurses between the two countries; and developing long-term cooperation plans in the healthcare sector.

The ambassador indicated that his next visit is expected in February, during which he plans to bring ambassadors from other countries to visit Begum Noor Memorial Hospital Chakwal. This visit will allow them to witness how quality healthcare facilities are being provided in Pakistan’s rural areas.

During the hospital tour, the hospital’s founder, Chairman/CEO Muhammad Bashir Malik, Director of Operations and Board Member Ejaz Ali Khan, and other hospital staff welcomed the ambassador and provided detailed information about the available facilities.

This visit is not only an important step towards strengthening Pakistan-Cuba relations but also offers new hope for improving healthcare facilities in rural areas.
