According to Katia Aveiro, the FIFA World Cup 2026 may serve as a “last dance” for Cristiano Ronaldo in international football. She indicated that while no immediate decision has been confirmed, a retirement announcement could follow after the tournament concludes.
She also drew parallels with other experienced players, including Croatia captain Luka Modrić, suggesting that the current World Cup may represent a transitional moment for several football greats.
