During Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s visit to Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may share details about the Indian team’s tour, security arrangements, and venue.Government sources say that while no meeting has been confirmed between Jaishankar and any Pakistani official, there is a possibility of a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss India’s participation in the Champions Trophy.Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy next year, but India’s participation remains unconfirmed. Indian media has reported that no final decision has been made regarding India’s participation, and any decision will primarily involve the Indian government.During the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Islamabad on October 15-16, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar is expected to meet with PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi to discuss cricket diplomacy.In their meeting, Naqvi will discuss security, protocol, and other crucial points with Jaishankar. Indian officials will also be briefed on ICC Champions Trophy preparations and ICC delegations’ visits.Pakistan will host Champions Trophy matches from February 19 to March 9, contingent upon government approval.Last year, Pakistan participated in the ICC World Cup in India, following ICC rules requiring teams to play in the host country’s events.
