Commissioner Hazara presided over an interfaith peace meeting regarding Muharram-ul-Haram, assurance of cooperation from all schools of thought, An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hazara Fayyaz Ali Shah regarding the peaceful conduct of Muharram-ul-Haram, in which scholars of all schools of thought of Hazara Division, district administration and police officers participated. The aim of the meeting was to establish peace and order during Muharram-ul-Haram, promote interfaith harmony and brotherhood. Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Hazara said that all scholars are the heirs of the Messenger of Allah and they have a heavy responsibility to spread the message of unity, solidarity, patience and love.
He appealed that no speaker or Zakir should be invited from outside the district during Muharram so that no law and order problems arise. Commissioner Hazara stressed that scholars of all schools of thought should strictly adhere to the schedule and the prescribed routes of processions, ensure effective and responsible use of loudspeakers, and avoid sectarian speeches so that the environment remains peaceful. In the meeting, the scholars assured the administration that full cooperation will be extended during Muharram and their full role will be played in establishing law and order. District administration and police officers of Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra also attended the meeting and informed about their preparations. Commissioner Hazara directed all institutions to ensure peace and security during Muharram by maintaining close contact.
