Rawalpindi — Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, addressed participants of the 18th National Workshop on Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ). The workshop examined Balochistan’s socio-economic development and its strategic role in Pakistan.
In his remarks, the COAS & CDF discussed ongoing initiatives by federal and provincial authorities aimed at improving socio-economic conditions in Balochistan. He noted the importance of civil society in countering misinformation and contributing to sustainable development.
Security Concerns Raised by COAS & CDF
The Field Marshal highlighted security challenges in the province, stating that Indian-sponsored proxies continue to create instability and obstruct development. He said Pakistan’s security forces would take firm measures to counter terrorism and unrest in the region.
Commitment to Regional Stability
Reaffirming Pakistan’s stance on peace and stability, the CDF emphasized that any violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity would be met with a decisive response. He underlined the armed forces’ role in safeguarding citizens.
The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session, where the COAS & CDF responded to queries and provided further insights into development and security efforts in Balochistan.
