CDF Asim Munir meets UAE National Security Advisor in Abu Dhabi to discuss economic and security cooperation

RAWALPINDI — Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates, during a visit to Abu Dhabi on Sunday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE, with discussions covering economic collaboration, investment and security coordination. Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments and emphasized continued engagement to promote stability and peace.

According to ISPR, the two leaders reviewed avenues to enhance strategic partnership across multiple sectors, particularly in areas of economic cooperation and security collaboration.

Field Marshal Asim Munir conveyed appreciation for the UAE’s longstanding investments and support to Pakistan’s economy and security sector. He noted that the relationship between the two countries is rooted in historical ties and longstanding cooperation.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening joint efforts with the UAE, stating that security and stability in the Gulf region remain closely linked to Pakistan’s own interests due to the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting comes amid ongoing regional diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi, reflecting continued coordination on economic and security matters.
