The Punjab government has completed the allocation of 720 residential units under the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026, providing rent-free housing to registered industrial workers through a fully computerized and transparent balloting process.

The scheme, launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is being implemented by the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF) to address housing insecurity among low-income labour families working in the industrial sector.

CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026: digital balloting completed

Officials said the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 was administered through a computerized digital balloting system to ensure transparency and eliminate manual intervention. The process was carried out under the supervision of the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund, with results made accessible to applicants through official government portals.

According to authorities, the digital system was adopted to prevent favoritism and ensure merit-based allotment of housing units.

Location and project details

The 720 flats allotted under the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 are located at the Workers Welfare Complex (Phase I) in Sundar Industrial Estate. The location was selected due to its proximity to major industrial units, enabling workers to live closer to their workplaces.

Officials said the project is designed to reduce daily commuting time and transportation costs for industrial workers while offering long-term residential stability.

Eligibility criteria under CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026

Applications for the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 were invited from industrial workers registered with the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund, primarily from Kasur and Lahore. To qualify, applicants were required to meet specific conditions, including:

• Registration with PWWF
• Possession of a valid CNIC
• Employment in a registered industrial unit
• No previous allotment under any government housing scheme

Authorities stated that only verified workers meeting all eligibility requirements were included in the balloting process.

Reserved quotas for vulnerable workers

To ensure inclusion, the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 included reserved quotas for vulnerable segments of the workforce. According to official data, three percent of the flats were allocated to widows of deceased workers, while two percent were reserved for differently-abled workers.

Officials said these reservations were incorporated to promote equitable access to government-supported housing.

How to check balloting results

Applicants of the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 can verify their allotment status through official government websites, including the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund and Labour Department portals.

Workers are required to enter their CNIC number or application details to view the list of successful allottees.

Post-selection process and possession

According to officials, workers selected under the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026 will be formally notified and called for document verification. After completion of verification, allotment letters will be issued, followed by the handover of possession upon fulfillment of procedural requirements.

Future plans after CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026

Government sources indicated that, following the completion of Phase I, additional housing phases are under consideration. These may include an increased number of flats and expansion of the scheme to more districts.

Workers have been advised to remain in contact with official PWWF channels for updates related to future phases linked to the CM Punjab Free Flats Scheme 2026.
