The chest thumping of Bharat’s hawkish government has lost in ashes of its ill-piloted wings of war. ‘Sindoor’, which was launched to avenge the blood of 26 tourists in Pahalgam area of IOK allegedly accusing Pakistan, seems to lose its charm with white flags put up on major checkposts. With hollow claims and accusations from the moment just after the tragedy broke, the expansionist regime should have expected maximum in retaliation from its western border. Despite all these ramifications in notice, such an immature act really goes out of mind .
The bold statements of iron man of Pakistan in response to the Indians’ reckless rhetoric gained weight when it wrecked India’s technologically updated steel falcons. But here comes a question. Is India roaring for security or is there something else behind the doors too? Well, the recent military posture of India has given hints of its long-term objectives- meanwhile, hydropower projects. India being a signatory of International Convention of Human Rights has violated its very core theme by targeting innocent lives in Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, and Sialkot.
This action is not a first in its kind. This violation of ceasefire agreement at LOC 2003 has invited voices from the international world with Mr. Trump called it a shame. Even the call of ‘maximum restraint’ by Secretary General of United Nations Antonio Guterres fell on deaf ears in India. To not much astonishment, doesn’t the hyper nationalist state seem a nexus of zio-nazism? BJP, with its ultimate objective of Akhand Bharat had provoked Article 375 and 35(A) in 2019 in the wake of Pulwama tragedy and now it has held the landmark agreement of Indus Water Treaty 1960 in abeyance. These non-professional acts coupled with Indian targeting of alleged terrorists camps in Pakistan vividly visualize the ill omens of its diplomatic posture. No matter what, this breaching of international law has no roots in justification the same as that of Israel’s prudent claims of restoration of holyland.
“The recent military posture of India has given hints of its long-term objectives- meanwhile, hydropower projects.”
‘River and blood cannot flow together’. These words of Mr. Modi clearly indicated the weaponization of water when the Pulwama tragedy was on board. And now its targeting of the Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project is another nail in the coffin. The use of false flag operations like this one has always been a tool of BJP’s policy towards Pakistan to gain weight in the eyes of public and in the international arena too. But this time the ball is not in India’s court. While the west is stuck in Ukraine and the Middle East, it can’t afford another side of prolonged conflictual engagement. Now everyday is not Sunday for India.
Disguising state violence as victimhood by its aggressive administration as in the wake of previous false flag operations, now carries no more glimmer for its public to help BJP win the upcoming elections. Its zio-nazi style of provocation is only fanning the flames of invalidity (opposite to the situations in Pakistan where the polarized public is now consolidated and with its leaders). It is evident that Modi’s government mimics zionist strategies of occupation i.e using military aggression and myth making for fostering geographical influence. Anyway, regionalism of South Asia is on high alert as China is leading the front of Pakistan’s allies and has already shown muscles even on the provocative rhetoric of India before its crossing of Pakistan’s territory.
Symbolically, it is the point when during a movie, the audience stretches its arms and waits for what’s coming next. Furthermore, sustained tensions between the neighbouring countries will prove ailing for both economies with Pakistan having just started progress for achievement of macroeconomic stability will suffer a setback once again and India too will not be left spared in this damage. These are not the hollow words but claims of one of the top three global rating agencies “MOODY”. Plus both states possess nuclear capabilities and any miscalculation will bring the region on the brink of massive destruction. Here comes the responsibility of international bodies like the United Nations and OIC to lead the front and make utmost efforts to de-escalate the borders.
The offer of good offices from Britain and Russia is truly commendable but it’s all up to India’s diplomatic posture to allow for such a capacity building measure as Pakistan has already been inviting its neighbour, since the bullets mercilessly took the innocent lives, to settle the matter with the help of a mutual ally. All in all, Pakistan’s responsible behavior and its well-trained army has gained global recognition but still it has to remain vigilant and diplomatically active for peace-building in its own region as it has been known for peacekeeping in the world outside. It should rein in rhetoric used by the media, if found provocative, to avoid hypernationalism because it is the norm these days that the public’s actions are influenced by what is shown on the screens.
Water is a lifeline for Pakistan and it should take every possible action into account in order to save its inhabitants. Where both states need to act responsibly with concern of their citizens and economic framework , it is of no doubt that regionalism is all set towards unilateralism.
