TIMERGARA — Class-IV employees in Timergara have raised concerns over salary deductions and recruitment issues, urging the government to address their grievances and ensure fair treatment for lower-grade staff.

At a protest, representatives including Class-IV Employees President Obaid-ur-Rehman, Education President Mahmood Khan, and Secretary Rahatullah Roghani called for the extension of time scale benefits to Class-IV staff, similar to other government employees.

Concerns over salary deductions

The employees said their monthly salaries range between Rs20,000 and Rs25,000, but alleged that deductions of up to Rs15,000 are being made under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

They termed the deductions unjust and demanded that the deducted amounts be refunded immediately.

Demand for recruitment priority

The protesters also called for preferential treatment in recruitment for employees who had provided land for government institutions.

They said such employees or their children should be given priority in job opportunities, warning that hiring outsiders could lead to tensions.

Call for government action

The employees urged the chief minister and relevant authorities to resolve their concerns without delay.

They warned that failure to address the issues could lead to further protests by Class-IV employees.
