RAWALPINDI: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), paid a farewell visit to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ).
CJCSC meets COAS during farewell call
During the meeting, the COAS and the CJCSC discussed matters related to defence cooperation and inter-services coordination. General Asim Munir acknowledged the CJCSC’s role in strengthening joint operational preparedness and promoting collaboration among the three services.
Focus on national defence and regional stability
According to ISPR, the COAS noted the contributions of General Sahir Shamshad Mirza toward regional stability and Pakistan’s engagement with partner countries in defence cooperation. General Sahir expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army and the armed forces for their support during his service.
CJCSC lays floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada
Upon arrival at GHQ, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. He was also presented a guard of honour by a Pakistan Army contingent.
