The citizens have turned cautious after Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh rain spell and snowfall in mountainous areas as western winds are expected to enter the upper parts of Pakistan.
A warning of rain and thunderstorms in various areas, particularly in the north and central regions has been issued by the Met Office. It said that light rain expected in different areas of Punjab will reduce smog in the province.
Rain is also expected in various localities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, and Battagram and their adjoining areas, along with parts of upper Hazara, including Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur. On the other hand, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan region will experience rain, with snowfall expected in the higher mountain ranges.
Twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are expected to receive moderate rainfall while surrounding regions, including Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, and Jhelum. Rain is also expected in cities such as Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Khushab, and Sargodha.
The citizens have got vigilant after prediction of rain. The current rain is likely to result in massive decrease in temperature and citizens have taken out the warm clothes, cardigans, jerseys, jumpers and pullovers. They have also taken out the blankets to keep them of severe cold weather.
The medics also have also advised the citizens to take special care during rain as it can lead to various seasonal diseases.
