ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi organized Khuli Katchery (Open Court) at Central Police Office on Sunday.
The official told APP that during the khuli katchera, the IG listened to the concerns of citizens and police officers and issued on-the-spot instructions to senior police officers to address their concerns in time.
He said that solving the problems of citizens on the basis of merit is our top priority. Carelessness and negligence in the performance of duties will not be tolerated. Citizens facing any problem related to police can come to Khuli Katchery. “My office is always open for my citizens,” the IGP said.
IG Rizvi further directed the constables to resolve the complaints of the citizens on the substantive side within the stipulated time and submit a report to the Central Police Office. He directed all the SDPOs and SHOs to observe the designated office hours and give priority to solving the problems of the citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, the IG said that the Islamabad Police is taking various measures to facilitate the citizens. Holding Khuli Katchery every day helps to solve problems on priority basis, he added.
Apart from this, all Zonal Officers and SHOs are directed to meet the citizens in designated office hours and resolve their issues expeditiously and on merit.
