Beijing/Islamabad: China’s space program achieved another success on Saturday with the launch of a brand new communication satellite, Liftoff took place at precisely 7:57 pm from the Wenchang Space Launch Site, situated on the coast of Hainan Island.
According to China media a modified version of the Long March-7 carrier rocket roared to life, carrying Zhongxing-3A on its journey into space. The launch was a resounding success, with the satellite reaching its planned orbit without a hitch.
This new addition to China’s satellite network is specifically designed for communication and broadcasting purposes. Once operational, Zhongxing-3A will play a vital role in enhancing voice, data, radio, and television transmission services.
The launch holds particular significance as it marks the 526th mission for the Long March series of carrier rockets.
